After seventeen years of uncomplicated small-town life, Suzie Park attended university in Philadelphia and subsequently moved to New York.
During a short stint in Tokyo, she started writing a novel which she later completed.
Having traveled extensively, living as a native, and enjoyed hundreds of foreign films, she has an appreciation for non-American cinema and culture. She wishes to merge the strengths of American cinema and its cousins to the east, west, north and south, to create above all, entertaining pieces that take the audience on an emotional rollercoaster with a more definitive American ending.
Living life to the fullest, Suzie found that her acting became more fluid. She treats each audition as a chance to entertain. When she is cast, preparing and realizing a role give her the opportunity to engage an audience and be part of a creative crew, which complements the often solitary confines of writing.
Real people inspire her as do the characters she creates; they take on dimension and start to act independently of her, taking her on a journey where the outcome isn't necessarily what she'd planned.
